Living healthy
Today I had a conversation with a friend. It was truly an eye opener for both of us. We were discussing the benefits of living healthy.
Of course everyone knows about low fat, low salt diets, drinking a lot of water..bla bla bla, but we got into a conversation about what it means to be living healthy mentally.
You know I think most people get so wrapped up in losing weight, eating healthy foods, working full time jobs, raising families, etc - that they forget the most important thing ...which is the mental health.
I'm not saying get on an airplane to Thailand and go have cosmetic surgery in Thailand to replace the fact that you have to eat healthy.
I don't condone plastic surgery as a replacement for living healthy , but I think in combination with a healthy lifestyle which includes a positive attitude, a lot of people can benefit.
There is a book Called Psycho-Cybernetics by Dr. Maxwell Maltz. He was a plastic surgeon and he wrote a book about the fact that many of his patients had immediate self confidence and ego boosts after their corrections.
But there were a few who despite good physical results did not like themselves any better. He breaks it down into how humans think and how we can use certain mental exercises to increase our confidence and self-esteem.
If you're interested check out www.amazon.com. It's about $10 to $15. It Or if you like you can email me and I can send you a FREE copy of it. It has benefited me greatly - and maybe you will benefit too.
